We are taking a brief look back into 2013.  It was a year of new development plans and a year where landmarked buildings began falling down.  Literally falling down.  Their owners decided it was time to tear them down.  So let's see just what buildings have been redeveloped or are currently in the process of taking a bow.

Firstly, lets start in Queens and then progress towards Manhattan.  As most in Queens have seen, the 5Pointz building in Long Island City, that once was covered in graffiti is now whitewashed.  It's owners will be tearing the building down shortly to replace it with two large residential towers.  Buildings are also being demolished in Govenors Island to make room for development plans of sports fields and parks.  Lastly the Roseland Ballroom in Midtown Manhattan is coming down.  This building used to host concerts and venues from amazing artists.  It will be a loss when they bring the building down around April of 2014 to make room for mixed use property.

These recognizable building are slowly being replaced.  Keep an eye out for new developments going up around your area and let us know.  We are sure that 2014 will be another year where owners will cave into redeveloping their properties.
