Tips to Make Your Home Electricity Smart
1. Switch to compact fluorescent lights(CFLs). They last longer than a traditional bulb and will lower your electric bill.
2. Utilize lighter, brighter colored surfaces in your home that reflect light. combine that with pendant lights (as opposed to recessed lighting) which are open at the top. Light will hit your task area, but also reflect off the ceiling and walls.
3. Unplug appliances that are not used everyday. Even though they are turned off, they still use electricity.
